Karol Maćkowiak deals with environmental protection in the broad sense, including investment proceedings, waste issues, water law and new regulations (PPWR, EUDR, ROP, SUP, deposit system).

He participates in transaction projects, in particular due diligence audits. He is experienced in geological and mining law, including concession and reclamation proceedings.

He is the author and co-author of academic publications and practical commentaries on, among other things, public participation in environmental protection. He participates in research projects concerning the appealability of administrative court rulings and the independence and openness of the judiciary.
