Michał Wons

Michał Wons heads the M&A practice and co-heads the Real Estate practice.

As a transactional lawyer, he has many years of experience advising funds investing in various sectors of the market.

He supports Polish and foreign investors in joint ventures, restructuring of asset portfolios, acquisition of holding companies and special-purpose vehicles, or direct acquisition of their assets or organised parts of their enterprises.

He coordinates cross-border transactions and due diligence of companies and their assets.

He specialises in real estate transactions, particularly involving private equity. He has taken part in some of the largest deals in Poland in recent years in the retail sector.

He has represented leading players on the commercial real estate market in acquisition, restructuring and divestment of individual assets and entire portfolios of properties. He advises clients on major real estate development projects at every stage of project implementation. He conducts negotiations and restructuring of leases for office, retail, warehouse and manufacturing space, including projects in a sale and leaseback structure.

He has negotiated numerous contracts related to property development and infrastructure projects.

He is cofounder and leader of the firm’s Spanish Desk, established to serve Spanish-speaking clients. For several years he has advised Spanish investors on their real estate activity in Poland.

He has actively participated in public debate on architecture and urban planning in Warsaw, as well as discussions on draft local zoning plans. In addition, he has supported civic campaigns for sustainable urban development as an observer and board member of registered associations.
