Wardyński & Partners at the IBA 2025 Annual Conference in Toronto
Łukasz Lasek, partner from the firm’s Litigation, Arbitration & Mediation practice, will be participating in a session entitled "Mock trial – Green lies: ESG corruption on trial". This year’s case explores allegations of ESG, greenwashing, bribery, and corruption. The session will feature IBA members act out a realistic case, playing the roles of prosecutors, defence lawyers, and judges.
Wojciech Marszałkowski, partner from the Tax practice, will be a panellist for the session "The medium is the message: non-judicial avenues for settling disputes and obtaining certainty". The panel will explore alternative ways to resolve disputes with tax authorities, including the International Compliance Assurance Programme (ICAP), Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAP), and treaty arbitration procedures.
Filip Rak from the Criminal Law practice will be a moderator for a session "Beyond the binary: exploring gender diversity and Indigenous cultures". This session will explore the legal issues relating to concepts of non-binary identity as viewed through the eyes of indigenous cultures around the world.
