The law firm grows: new general partners, limited partners and contract partners

The firm’s general partners have been joined by Jan Ciećwierz, Szymon Kubiak, Mirella Lechna-Marchewka, Paweł Mazur, Łukasz Szegda and Izabela Zielińska-Barłożek. Marcin Lemkowski and Michał Nowacki have become limited partners. The firm’s new contract partners are Antoni Bolecki, Bartosz Kuraś, Lena Marcinoska, Marcin Pietkiewicz, Anna Prigan, Daniel Smarduch and Katarzyna Wójcik-Bąkowska.

New general partners

Adwokat Jan Ciećwierz co-heads the Dispute Resolution & Arbitration practice. He conducts judicial disputes between businesses as well as real estate litigation. He also handles claims for damages for acts and omission of public authorities.

Dr Szymon Kubiak, LL.M., attorney-at-law, co-heads the Employment practice. He handles individual and collective employment law, European employment law, and outsourcing.

Attorney-at-law Mirella Lechna-Marchewka, LL.M., heads the firm’s Wrocław office. She is responsible for the Infrastructure, Transport, Public Procurement & PPP practice.

Adwokat Paweł Mazur heads the firm’s Kraków office. He co-heads the Dispute Resolution & Arbitration practice and oversees the Aviation practice.

Attorney-at-law Łukasz Szegda is responsible for the firm’s Banking & Project Finance practice. He handles financing transactions, including financing of corporate acquisitions, real estate transactions, and development projects, as well as debt restructuring.

Izabela Zielińska-Barłożek is responsible for the M&A and Corporate practice and heads the firm’s office in Poznań. She provides legal support for mergers and acquisitions and ongoing advice to companies, with particular attention to corporate aspects.

New limited partners

Dr Marcin Lemkowski, adwokat and professor of Adam Mickiewicz University, conducts difficult, complex and often protracted judicial and arbitration proceedings, mainly in the area of civil law.

Attorney-at-law Michał Nowacki provides tax advice on domestic and international transactions.

New contract partners

Dr Antoni Bolecki, attorney-at-law, specialises in competition and consumer law and in judicial and administrative proceedings, including regulatory proceedings.

Attorney-at-law Bartosz Kuraś, LL.M., practises civil and commercial law, particularly in the area of mergers and acquisitions, new technologies, and ongoing corporate advice. He also practises environmental law, with particular attention to issues of liability for environmental damage and waste management.

Adwokat Lena Marcinoska practises intellectual property law, including trademarks and industrial designs, and combating unfair competition, with particular attention to issues of intellectual property on the internet and new technologies. She provides comprehensive legal support in this area, including representation of clients in civil litigation.

Attorney-at-law Marcin Pietkiewicz handles the law of securities, capital markets, and financial institutions, capital transactions, corporate governance, particularly in public companies, and regulatory issues involving financial institutions. He also advises on trading and administration of receivables, including through the use of investment funds.

Attorney-at-law Anna Prigan handles infrastructure projects involving public authorities and local governments. She has extensive experience with projects involving expansion of the road network in Poland, public procurement, and public-private partnerships. She provides comprehensive legal support for infrastructure and development projects, including those conducted under FIDIC and EPC contract terms.

Adwokat Daniel Smarduch advises on trading and administration of receivables and financing of projects, including financing of corporate acquisitions, real estate transactions and development projects, as well as refinancing of debt. He is active in projects for securitisation of receivables, both secured and unsecured. He regularly advises on transactions involving portfolios of receivables and individual receivables, including non-performing loans.

Attorney-at-law Katarzyna Wójcik-Bąkowska, LL.M., practises civil and commercial law. She provides full support for mergers and acquisitions of commercial entities, with particular attention to the private equity and healthcare sectors. She takes part in large restructuring procedures. She co-heads the firm’s Insurance practice.
