Łódź Fabryczna Railway Station: the decision will be soon announced

On 2nd February 2017 the Regional Court in Poznań will announce judgement in a claim against the general contractor filed by designers of the station.
Wardyński & Partners represented French and Italian companies, members of a group that are world leaders in the design of railway infrastructure, in litigation against the general contractor which has just ended after more than two years. Each of the parties terminated a contract for design work the subject of which was to design not only the station, but also a tunnel and roads. The general contractor did not pay the designers a significant part of remuneration, imposed contractual penalties of more than PLN 50M, and claimed against the bank guarantee provided by the designers.
During the last hearing the regional court dismissed the applications of the parties to appoint experts because it considered opinions to be unnecessary.
The decision will be announced on Thursday 2nd February 2017 almost two months after the Łódź Fabryczna station was officially opened.
