Tractel acquires Scanclimber

Wardyński & Partners has advised the Tractel group in its acquisition of the Scanclimber group.
Tractel (from the portfolio of private equity firm Cinven) designs and manufactures lifting and handling material, load-measurement devices, temporary and permanent access solutions and anti-fall safety equipment, which it markets globally.
Scanclimber, based in Finland, is a leading producer of rack-and-pinion-based vertical access systems and equipment, such as mast climbing work platforms, passenger and material hoists, and industrial hoists.
We were involved in Polish aspects of the process, which concerned the manufacturing company Scanclimber sp. z o.o. in Gniezno.
The transaction was another step in Tractel’s development strategy, following acquisitions of Safety Products Group and Knot.
