SUEZ and Schwarz Group

Wardyński & Partners, in conjunction with law firms Jones Day and Arendt, is advising the SUEZ Group in the process of the sale of its Recycling & Recovery operations to PreZero, part of the Schwarz Group.
After several months of negotiations and preparations, SUEZ and PreZero have signed an exclusivity agreement on further negotiations involving the sale of SUEZ’s Recycling & Recovery operations in Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Poland. The transaction is subject to notification of the European Commission. The estimated value of the transaction is EUR 1.1 billion.
The SUEZ Group has been in operation for 150 years in the field of water and waste management. SUEZ has been present in Poland for 25 years and currently provides services to over 2 million people and 5,000 companies and institutions in Poland. SUEZ employs 2,300 people in Poland.
