Harbin B.V. repays part of its indebtedness to a consortium of banks

A longstanding client of Wardyński & Partners, the private investment company Harbin B.V., has successfully repaid part of its current indebtedness to a consortium of banks, following divestment of a small stake in Grupa Żywiec S.A. in April 2013.

Following the transaction, which involved the disposal of about 3% of the company’s shares in an accelerated book-building, Harbin remains the second-largest shareholder of Grupa Żywiec (after Brau Union AG), with about 33% of the overall shareholding.

The law firm provided the client transactional assistance, including negotiations with the banks on release of security in shares intended for sale, partial prepayment of the loan, and regulatory issues concerning the public market.
