Faerch and Sirap

The Danish-based Faerch A/S has acquired plants in Italy, Poland and Spain from the Sirap group producing plastic packaging for fresh food. The transaction included acquisition of Inline Poland sp. z o.o., owned by the Sirap group. Wardyński & Partners advised on the transaction.

Faerch is a producer and distributor of plastic packaging for the food industry. It was the first such company in the world to introduce circular recycling of food trays. It operates in Czechia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK, and now also in Italy and Poland.

The Sirap group, wholly owned by the Milan-listed holding company Italmobiliare, specialises in production of packaging for fresh food from polystyrene foam, PET and polypropylene. Here Sirap owned Inline Poland sp. z o.o. in Murowana Goślina, which manufactures high-quality modern packaging.

Wardyński & Partners advised on all legal issues connected with the acquisition of Inline Poland sp. z o.o., including assistance in obtaining approval of the concentration from the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection. The lawyers from the firm advising in the transaction were Izabela Zielińska-Barłożek, Katarzyna Wójcik-Bąkowska, Katarzyna Jaroszyńska, Antoni Bolecki and Andrzej Madała.

The transaction closed on 4 January 2021.
