Euricom and Mitsui

Wardyński & Partners has assisted Euricom in connection with sale of an equity stake in Rol-Ryż to Mitsui.
Euricom S.p.A., a leading global rice specialist, and Mitsui & Co., a leading global trading and investment group, announced on 27 April 2022 a strategic alliance in the European pulses and rice sector. As part of the strategic alliance, Mitsui and Euricom have entered into binding agreements whereby Mitsui will acquire an equity stake in Przedsiębiorstwo Rol-Ryż sp. z o.o.
Rol-Ryż is the market leader in rice in Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, and the Baltics, and is also a Euricom subsidiary that processes and sells pulses.
Wardyński & Partners, in cooperation with Jones Day, acted as legal advisers to Euricom. The team was led by Bartosz Kuraś and Anna Dąbrowska.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the second quarter of 2022.
